2、鏡頭的分辨率描述鏡頭成像質量的內在指標是鏡頭的光學傳遞函數與畸變，但對擁護而言，需要了解的僅僅是鏡頭的空間分辨率，以每毫米能夠分辨的黑白條紋數為計量單位，計算公式為：鏡頭分辨率Ｎ＝１８０／畫幅格式的高度。由于工業內窺鏡攝像機ＣＣＤ靶面大小已經標準化，如１／２英寸攝象機，其靶面為寬6.4mm＊高4.8mm，１／３英寸攝象機為寬4.8mm＊高3.6mm。因此對１／２英寸格式的ＣＣＤ靶面，鏡頭的低分辨率應為３８對線／mm，對１／３英寸格式攝象機，鏡頭的分辨率應大于５０對線，攝象機的靶面越小，對鏡頭的分辨率越高。

3、鏡頭焦距與視野角度首先根據工業內窺鏡攝象機到被監控目標的距離，選擇鏡頭的焦距，鏡頭焦距f確定后，則由攝象機靶面決定了視野。

4、光圈或通光量鏡頭的通光量以鏡頭的焦距和通光孔徑的比值來衡量，以Ｆ為標記，每個鏡頭上均標有其大的Ｆ值，通光量與Ｆ值的平方成反比關系，Ｆ值越小，則光圈越大。所以應根據被監控部分的光線變化程度來選擇用手動光圈還是用自動光圈鏡頭。
